DMS Settings System - Comprehensive Guide

Overview

The Document Management System (DMS) Settings provides administrators with complete control over all aspects of the document management system. This comprehensive configuration system allows customization of user access, document handling, metadata management, workflows, upload settings, and system behavior through an intuitive web interface.

Access & Navigation

Prerequisites

Accessing DMS Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings:

    • Click DMS in the main navigation menu

Settings Categories

User Roles Configuration

Default Roles

The system comes with four default user roles:

Adding Custom Roles

  1. Navigate to User Roles section
  2. Click "Add Role" button
  3. Enter role name in the prompt dialog

Removing Roles

  1. Locate role in the roles list
  2. Click delete button (trash icon) next to role name

Managing Custom Fields

Adding New Fields
